With the Royal Wedding approaching this weekend, we are excited to discover what the couple-of-the-year are choosing for the menu on their special day.
Prince William and Kate
Looking back at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Royal Wedding in April 2011, Prince William and Kate took full advantage of the seasonal spring flavours. During the lunchtime reception, their guests were treated to an exquisite array of canapés. These ranged from; smoked haddock fishcake with pea guacamole, a roulade of goats cheese with caramelized walnuts, pressed duck terrine with fruit salad, and blood orange pate de fruit.
Our crispy crab cakes with mint pea and lime puree are the perfect canapé to treat your guests with.
During the more intimate dinner, Prince William and Kate’s closest friends and family were treated to a scrumptious 3-course meal. This involved a salmon with crab timbale in their starters, organic lamb for their main, and spoilt for a choice with a trio of mini puddings for dessert.
The Lettice seared lamb main dish is always a firm favourite for any occasion.
Prince Harry and Meghan
The Royal Wedding this weekend on 19th May for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will also celebrate the seasonal UK produce, which will be sourced mostly from the Queen’s estate.
Prince Harry and Meghan (who is known to be a foodie from her personal reviews and food articles on her now-shut-down blog The Tig), have been very involved in the food selection and have visited Windsor Castle kitchen for the tasting with the Royal Chef, Mark Flanagan.
The precise menu is top secret, but it has been discovered that the couple has chosen canapés and increasingly-popular mini bowls for their afternoon reception, which is set to serve around 600 guests.
With the likes of crab, prawns, lamb, asparagus, and rhubarb being in season, we are excited to find out exactly what the foodie couple will choose for their menu!
Our mini-tartlet dessert will satisfy all your cravings.
